- 12 large sea scallops cleaned, shell optional
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley optional, for garnish
- 12 clean scallop shells or small ramekins
