- Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, mustard or lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
- Add Crunch (Optional): Mix in chopped pickles, onion, or celery if desired.
- Prep the Bread: Toast bread slices lightly, if preferred.
- Assemble Sandwiches: On 4 slices of bread, layer lettuce, tomato slices, and a generous scoop of tuna mix. Add cheese if using.
