Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna 5 oz / 140g each, drained
  • 6 –8 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard or lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of bread white, whole wheat, or sourdough
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 1 –2 medium tomatoes sliced

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 –2 tablespoons chopped pickles red onion, or celery (for crunch)
  • Chili flakes or sriracha for heat
  • Cheese slices
  • Olive oil or butter for toasting the bread

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, mustard or lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
  • Add Crunch (Optional): Mix in chopped pickles, onion, or celery if desired.
  • Prep the Bread: Toast bread slices lightly, if preferred.
  • Assemble Sandwiches: On 4 slices of bread, layer lettuce, tomato slices, and a generous scoop of tuna mix. Add cheese if using.
  • Top and Serve: Cover with remaining bread slices. Cut in halves and serve immediately.
