Bread Pudding Recipe

Cut 4 cups of bread into cubes and place in a greased dish. Whisk 2 cups milk, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon to make the custard. Pour over the bread, let it soak for 10–15 minutes, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

  • 4 cups bread cubes brioche, challah, or French bread
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins optional
  • Butter to grease the dish
  • Preheat Oven: Set the oven to 350°F 175°C. Grease a small baking dish with butter.
  • Prepare Bread: Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes and place them in the baking dish. Add raisins if using.
  • Make Custard: In a bowl whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Combine: Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb.
  • Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  • Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy plain or with caramel sauce whipped cream, or ice cream.
