  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms optional
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Set the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to warm up.
  2. Flatten the dough on a lightly floured surface to your preferred thickness, then place it on parchment paper.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough and top it with shredded mozzarella.
  4. Make four small indentations in the cheese and gently crack an egg into each one.
  5. Add optional toppings such as bacon and mushrooms, then season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil, then carefully transfer the pizza (with parchment paper) onto the hot stone or baking tray.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the egg whites are firm while the yolks remain slightly runny.
  8. Take the pizza out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley, slice, and serve warm.
