Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Slowly add broth and cream. Stir until thick and smooth.
- Mix in vegetables and chicken. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour filling into a baking dish.
- Lay puff pastry over the top. Trim edges and cut 2–3 slits.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden crust (optional).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is puffed and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
